Focus 2013

Focus on „Generations – Learning – Prosperity“

The second Berlin Demography Forum focused on solidarity between generations, on early childhood education, on the opportunities and necessity of lifelong learning, and on the retention of our social and personal prosperity given the demographic change.

The key questions evolved around the following:

How can we encourage and strengthen intergenerational solidarity? What impact has lifelong learning on the aging process and how can we further promote it? Given the demographic change, how do we need to change our strategies in order to maintain and promote social and personal wealth?

The Berlin Demography Forum provides a platform, where these and further questions can be examined both from an international and national perspective in order to find possible solutions and create awareness for the issues at stake.
